Commodore Dan Stoltz and SPIRE Credit Union recognized AAO volunteers and Timberwolves leadership for their contributions to the Twin Cities at Target Center on Saturday.
A reception sponsored by SPIRE took place at the new Mayo Clinic Square Experience Center prior to the Timberwolves game versus the Utah Jazz. During a brief program, Stoltz (CEO of SPIRE Credit Union) gave his Commodore Medal to good friend Chris Wright, President of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Ethan Casson, the new CEO of the basketball team (pictured below).
The Aquatennial Crew was recognized during the game and afterwards, AAO volunteers were invited onto the court where Jim Peterson, Voice of the Minnesota Timberwolves, was given a Commodore Medal.
Since the last volunteer recognition event, AAO volunteers have worked hard raising money for the organization and the Ambassador Scholarship Program at the Ryder Cup, as well as beginning to plan for the AAO's events during the 2017 Aquatennial Festival and Ambassador Candidate Program.
The AAO thanks the Minnesota Timberwolves and SPIRE Credit Union for recognizing the dedication of our volunteers to the Mission of the AAO.
